Daniel Thornsberry, age 68, of Plymouth Street, Plymouth, OH, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at the MedCentral Hospital in Shelby. He was born March 21, 1937 in Knott County, Kentucky to the late Joe and Patsy (Tuttle) Thornsberry and had been a Willard/Plymouth area resident since age 13. Mr. Thornsberry is a retired employee from the General Motors Company in Ontario after 31 years of service. He is a member of the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth and enjoyed camping and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda (Morgan) Thornsberry, whom he married July 25, 1958; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Patty Walters of Westland, MI; Peggy and Calvin Tuttle of Westland, MI; Linda and Gary Reno of Plymouth; Vickie and John Stima of Shelby; Wendy Dawson of Willard; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Howard Thornsberry of Wakeman; Alvin Thornsberry of Sebring, FL; Mander Thornsberry of Willard; two sisters, Mavis Tackett of Georgia; Mabel Shepherd of Shelby; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He is preceeded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held all day Tuesday and Wednesday at the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church in Plymouth with services at 6:00 PM both evenings. The funeral service will be at the church on Thursday at 10:00 AM with Elders Buddy Carty and Delmas Hall officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Plymouth, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Little Rebecca Old Regular Baptist Church.
