David S. “Pete” Gallant, age 41, resident of New Washington, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2005 at his home. He was born on January 26, 1964 in Galion, Ohio, to the late David “Butch” and Axie “Peanut” (Smallwood) Gallant. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in New Washington, Hunters Haven and the Crawford County Conservation League.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Tina M. Wilson of New Washington; his estranged wife, Sharon Gallant of Bucyrus; three sons, Darcey J. Rivers, David A. Gallant, and George D. Gallant, all of Forthsmith, AR; 2 step children, Michael and Christopher Cox of Bucyrus; two sisters, Barbara “Mouse” Ann and Paul Hall of Bucyrus and Diana A. and Tony Frazier Gallant of Bucyrus; and eight brothers, Leo “Buddy” D. Gallant II and Linda of Galion, OH, Larry “Dean” Gallant of Bucyrus, John R. Gallant and April of Bucyrus, Richard G. Adams Jr. (Gallant) and Crystal of Detriot, MI, Lesley W. Gallant of Detriot, MI, Robert T. Adams (Gallant) of Detriot, MI, Joseph E. Adams (Gallant) of Detriot, MI, and David “Mike” M. Gallant of Cincinnati, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gerald L. “Jerry” Gallant and one infant brother.
There will be a memorial service Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the New Washington United Methodist Church, with Pastor Pamela Sayre officiating. In lieu of flowers, you can make donations to the Secor Funeral Home, 414 East Main St., New Washington, OH 44854.
