David P. Bishop, age 45, resident of Bucyrus, Ohio and formerly of New Washington, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at his home unexpectedly. He was born on April 21, 1964 in Willard, Ohio and was a graduate of Buckeye Central High School. He served his country in the US Air Force for nearly eleven years and worked as a correctional officer. David enjoyed riding his Harley in poker runs, raising tropical fish, was known as a “Mr. Fix-it”, but most of all was a loving father.
He is survived by his parents, Larry and Velma (Snipes) Bishop of New Washington; fiance’, Angel LaRue of Bucyrus; his son, Tyler Bishop of St. Louis; daughter, Cindy (David) Kamna of Atlanta; step-children, Morgan and Devin Bishop; a granddaughter, Kelsie Kamna; a brother, Daniel (Sherry) Bishop of Chatfield; two sisters, Lisa (Patrick) Foley of Pickerington; Tammi (Paul) Reed; nieces and nephews, Brady and Elyse Bishop; Mellisa and Brandon Foley; Nicholas, Anthony and Andrew Rosa; Alex, Trevor and Derek Reed; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is preceded in death by an infant sister, Cheryl Bishop; paternal grandparents, Clem and Frances Bishop; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Ruth Mae Snipes.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Monday, August 24, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in New Washington at 11:00 AM with Father Tommy Rodrigues and Father Robert Dendinger officiating. I am so sorry about your loss. I can’t even begin to imagine Angel what you are going through, I do know that God is there for you and his family. You can lean on him and through this difficult time.
