Harvey A. James, Sr., age 81, resident of Plymouth, Ohio passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2007 in Willard Healthcare Center. He was born on July 2, 1926 in Norton Twp., Summit County, Ohio to late Harry and Grace (Marvin) James and had been a Plymouth resident since 1984 moving from Greenwich. Mr. James was a retired mechanic from the Chapin and Chapin Construction Compnay in Norwalk. He was a member of the Plymouth Jehovah’s Witnessess Kingdom Hall where he served as an elder.
He is survived by his wife Fern P. (Spade) James who he married on March 3, 1945; three sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey A. and Carrie James, Jr. of Norwalk; Harry G. and Sandy James of Pennsylvania; Henry J. and Christine James, Sr. of Mays Lick, KY; one daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Dave Dugan of Las Vegas, NV; ten grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Diane Whitacre.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by three sisters.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at the Jehovah’s Witnessess Kingdom Hall, State Route 61 South, Plymouth, Ohio at 3:00 PM, with Elder Patrick Leslie officiating.
