Helen I. Geissman, of S. Twp. Road 185, Attica, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2004 at the Heartland Nursing Home in Bucyrus. She was born June 16, 1920 in Attica, Ohio to the late John and Florence(Smith) Herr and had been a New Washington/Attica area resident all her life. A graduate of Attica High School, she was a homemaker and a retired manager of the family farm. She is a member of the New Washington United Methodist Church, a past member of the Golden Agers and enjoyed gardening and traveling.
She is survived by a daughter, Betty E. Geissman of Tiffin; 3 sons and two daughters-in-law, Burton and Mary Lynn Geissman of New Washington, Robert and Connie Geissman of New Washington and Edward Geissman of Attica; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
She is preceeded in death by her husband, Paul H. Geissman in 1955 and her parents.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 PM at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington. The Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:00 AM at the New Washington United Methodist Church, with Rev. Pamela Sayre officiating. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, OH.
