Jacob E. Wechter, age 69, resident of Tiro, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2004 in Bucyrus Community Hospital. He was born on December 27, 1934 in Crawford County, Ohio, to the late Albert and Anna Mary (Faeth) Wechter and had been a lifelong resident of the Tiro – New Washington area. He was a 1952 graduate of New Washington High School and a retired farmer. He was a member of the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn, Ohio.
He is survived by three sisters, Sister Mary Catherine (Rosemary Wechter) of Tiffin, Marcella Wechter of Willard, and Mary Ann Wechter of Tiro. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Thursday from 10:00 AM until noon. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:00 PM at Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church in North Auburn with Father Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow at the Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions can be made to the donor’s choice.
