Inez Schanzenbach, age 97, resident of rural New Washington, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at her home. She was born on April 27, 1910 in Lykens, Ohio to the late Jacob and Sarah (Burkey) Oberlander and has been a resident of rural New Washington for 70 years. Mrs. Schanzenbach was a graduate of the former Lykens High School and was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of the Evangelical Faith Fellowship Church in Lykens.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Joyce Schanzenbach of Bucyrus; a daughter, Mary Schanzenbach of New Washington; one grandson, Mark Schanzenbach of Bucyrus; one brother, Richard Oberlander of Brokensword; and a sister, Freda Brause of Bloomville.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Evangelical Faith Fellowship Church in Lykens, Ohio with Reverend Tim Grimes officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church on Saturday. Burial will follow in the Brokensword Cemetery in Brokensword, Ohio.
