Joel M. Luevano, age 22, resident of Willard, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at the Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1983 in Norwalk, Ohio and had been a life long Willard resident. He enjoyed fishing, listening to music and loved his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his parents, Jose and Maria (Velasco) Luevano of Willard; three brothers, Juan, Jose, and David Luevano all of Willard; two sisters, Maria and Emi Luevano both of Willard; paternal grandmother, Emilia Luevano of Mexico; his girlfriend, Angel Thornsberry and her daughter, Alexis Thornsberry of Willard; aunts, uncles and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jose Luevano; maternal grandparents, Maria and Gonzalo Velasco; and an uncle, Francisco Luevano.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the rosary will be recited at 8:45 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Willard with Father Stanley Szybka officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard.
