Kenneth F. Niedermier, age 67, resident of New Washington, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born on June 10, 1940 in New Washington, Ohio to the late Frank and Gertrude (Wurm) Niedermier and had been a resident of New Washington all of his life. He was a Line Supervisor for Pittsburgh Plate & Glass. He was a Army Veteran serving during peace time. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bird watching, yard work and walking his dog “Maggie.”
He is survived by his wife, Annette Niedermier; seven children, Rob Zoltanski of New Washington, Karen and Tim Little of Belleville, IL, Danette and Rodney Lehman of Upper Arlington, Ohio, Bob and Angie Niedermier of Willard, Becky and Corey Travis of Delaware, Ohio, Cindy and Mick McCarthy of New Washington, and James Niedermier and fiance, Stephanie Goodrich of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; a great grandson; four sisters, Freda Coder of New Washington, Joanne and Ray Heydinger of Shelby, Carol and Gene Kimmett of Tiffin, and Jan and Jim Horning of Crestline; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda (Davis) Niedermier; his parents; and a sister, Marilyn and Harry Herman.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington on Friday, March 14, 2008 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 10:30 AM with Father Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to the ALS – Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) 1170 Old Henderson Road Suite 221, Columbus, Ohio 43220.
