Madelin F. Griffin, age 78, resident of Willard, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2004 in MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born on June 24, 1926 in Clear Creek, West Virginia to the late Prator and Tellie (Toney) Workman and had been a Willard resident since 1960. Mrs. Griffin had been employed as a cook for both the former Brunswick Grill and the L&K Restaurant in Willard. She was a member of the Willard Assembly of God Church.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sherry Jarrett of Atlanta, GA; her daughter, Sheila McMellen of Norwalk; three grandchildren, Kristine Kanei of Hawaii; Jerry Jarrett, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; Jennifer Goodman of Norwalk; four great grandchildren; four sisters; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Jarrett in 1948; her second husband, Ira Griffin in 1992; and four brothers.
Graveside services will be held at a later date in the Workman Family Cemetery in Clear Creek, West Virginia. Calling hours will not be observed. Secor Funeral Home in Willard assisted the family with arrangements.
