Margaret V. Baker, age 91, former resident of Plymouth passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. She was born November 12, 1913 in Richland Co. near Rome, Ohio to the late Gloyd and Susie (Mohn) Backensto and had been a Plymouth resident for the majority of her life.
She is survived by her four sons and three daughter-in-laws, Robert and Barb Baker of Shelby, David and Sandy Baker of Shelby, Duane and Florence Baker of Plymouth, and Maurice Baker Jr. of Shelby; five daughters and three son-in-laws, Donna Kamann of Plymouth, Bettie and Larry Vredenburgh of Plymouth, Dixie and John Hart of Plymouth, Vickie Resendez and friend, Dave Fidler of Plymouth, and Cindy and Doug Smith of Shiloh; 35 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; three sisters, Jane Snyder of Willard; Virginia Barnd of Shelby; and Betty Detwiler of Lucas; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her husband, Maurice Baker in 2001; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; one son-in-law, Bill Kamann; and three brothers, Jacque, Fred and Jim Backensto.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth on Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Hudberg officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shiloh,Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plymouth Fire & Rescue or to the Ripley Church.
