Mary A. Karl, age 85, resident of New Washington, passed away Monday, October 17, 2005 at the Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard. She was born on July 10, 1920 in Crestline Ohio, to the late Ferdinand and Clara (Fry) Fisher and had been a resident of New Washington all of her life. She is a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington and the Altar Rosary Society and Golden Gems of New Washington.
She is survived by 4 sons, James and Marge Karl of Shelby, William Karl of Lima, Allen and Judy Karl of Tiro and Norbert Karl of New Washington; daughter-in-law, Becky Karl of New Washington; 15 grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Karl whom she wed on December 1, 1945; her parents, Ferdinand and Clara (Fry) Fisher; 2 sons, Jerry Karl and Herbert Karl; 2 great grandsons; and two brothers, Donny and Bob Fisher.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in New Washington. The Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Washington, with Fr. Robert Dendinger officiating. Burial will be at the St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorials may be made to the St. Bernard School Endowment Fund.
