Mary E. Snook, age 71, resident of Willard, passed away Friday, Sept. 16, 2005 at the Willard Health Care Center. She was born on February 10, 1934 to the late Clarence and Amy (Lewis) Fields and had been a resident of Willard all of her life. She is a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard, where she served on many church committees. She was a graduate of Willard High School in 1952 and Cleveland City Hospital as a Registered Nurse in 1955. She worked for the Willard Area Hospital for 33 years, where she left in 1988 and had worked for Dr. William Corwin, Dr. William Kauffman, the Huron County Health Dept. and Hillside Acres Nursing Home in Willard.
She is survived by her husband, Ernest “Mike” Snook of Willard; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Michael and Carrie Snook of Holiday Lakes, Ohio and Daniel L. Snook of Golden, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Mollie M. Snook and Katie Snook, Brandon Westbrook & wife Tammy and Staff SSgt. Justin Westbrook & wife Christine; great grandson, Ayden Westbrook; and one sister, Margaret Hartzell of Columbus. She is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Amy (Lewis) Fields; and one brother, John A. Fields Sr.
Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard, with Rev. James Barkenquast officiating. Burial will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Willard. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
