Melvin Earl Covey, age 94, resident of Willard, OH, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2005 in Hillside Acres Nursing Home. He was born on February 20, 1911 in Fithian, IN, to the late James M. and Alta M. (Duley) Covey.
He is survived by his 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Maralyn and George Morgan of Lafayette, IN, Peg and Ed Fisher of Willard, Nancy and Steve Pifher of Tiro, and Bonnie and Brad Awe of Evansville, IN; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, Rolland Covey of Fowler, IN and Raymond Covey of Evansville, IN; and two sisters, June Wallace of Lubbock, TX and Mildred Chilton of Evansville, IN. He is preceded in death by hos wife; parents; five brothers; and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Hunt and Sons Funeral Home in Crawfordsville, IN on Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 10:00 AM with Rev. Phil Collier officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery North in Crawfordsville, IN.
