Nellie Jane (Cross) Kegley, age 69, resident of Shelby, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004 , at the Rosewood Manor Nursing Home in Galion. She was born and raised on December 2, 1934 in Willard, Ohio, then lived in Shelby for 12 years and moved to Kansas City for 25 years and had been a resident of Shelby since 2000. She attended the Maranatha Bible Baptist Church in Shelby and the First Luthern Church of Shelby. She loved to cook, ceramics, bake, read and watch horror flicks and westerns. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two sons, David and Diane Kegley of Kansas City, MO and Mark and Connie Kegley of Shelby, OH; two daughters, Debra and John Carter of Wichita, KS and Cheryl and Andy Ball of Mansfield, OH; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two half brothers, Paul Grimm of Washington and David Grimm of OR; three sisters, Hazel Heisler of Willard, OH, Mary Reinhold of MN and Grace Gopp of PA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Grimm and her adopted mother, Ruby Cross; her father, David Grimm and her adopted father, Clem Cross; and two brothers, Don Blinzley and Bob Blinzley.
Visitation will be Thursday from 12-2 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, where the Funeral Service will be Thursday at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Al Salas officiating. Burial will be at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
