Robert F. Burger, age 91, of Plymouth, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at The Willows at Willard. He was born on June 22, 1924 in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles and Mary (Elder) Burger.
Bob lived a life full of love and adventure. In his early years he was a photo technician at Walt Disney Productions in California. He served his country in the US Navy during WWII. He traveled and made friends everywhere he went. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. When he wasn’t tying his own carefully crafted fishing lures, he was most likely doing what he loved the most, spending time with his family. Always someone who could be counted on, Bob spent many years attending his nieces’ and nephews’ sporting events, recitals and school programs.
Bob was a beloved brother, uncle, great uncle, great great uncle and friend. These titles do little justice to the person he was. To his family he was so much more than these things. He was someone who showed unconditional love, respect and support to those he cared about. He is survived by his sister, Ruth Cook; 3 nephews, Steve (Beth) Cook, Dennis Cook, and Ronald Cook; great nieces Emily Cook, Malana Cook, and Mindy Cook; great nephews Michael (Amber) Cook, Richard Cook and Eric Cook, Daniel Cook and Thomas Cook; and great great nieces, Lily Cook, Sara Cook, Katie Cook, and Madison Cook.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Edith (Elder) Burger.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Plymouth, Ohio on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM where a funeral service will be on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Elder Delmas Hall officiating.
