Roger H. Hines, age 75, of Willard, Ohio passed away on Friday, July 28, 2017 at Ohio Health Hospital in Mansfield. He was born on December 13, 1941 in Shelby, Ohio to the late Harold and Rosemary C. (Young) Hines. He was in the Army National Guard and had retired from RR Donnelley and Sons. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He enjoyed all Cleveland sports, University of Michigan football and most of all, following his children and grandchildren’s sporting events.
He is survived by his wife, Janet (Heisler) Hines whom he married on October 27, 1962; three children, Kim and Dave Cox of Dallas, TX; Scott and Marianna Hines of Sunbury, OH; and Matt and Missy Hines of Attica; four grandchildren, Tiffany and David Purdie, Trey and Tara Hines, Brandon Hines and Aidan Hines; and four great grandchildren, Adelina, Penelope, Lola, Duke; four brothers, Gerald and Deb Hines of Attica, Allan and Germaine Hines of Tiffin, Benny and Marge Hines of New Washington, David Hines of Bucyrus; three sisters, Connie Courtright and special friend, Bob Jester of Willard, Mary Ann and Richard Johnston of New Washington, and Karen Panuto of New Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Rosemary C. (Young) Hines.
Visitation will be at Secor Funeral Home in Willard, Ohio on Monday, July 31, 2017 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. His Funeral Mass will be at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 with Fr. George Mahas officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Willard, Ohio at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Catholic School.
