Roland C. “Ike” Henry, Sr., age 93, Resident of Willard, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at his home. He was born on October 29, 1911 to the late Earnest and Pearl (Reed) Henry and had been a resident of Willard all of his life. He worked as a fireman for B&O Railroad, worked at R.R. Donnelley and Sons, and worked at Cedar Point driving train. He also owned and operated the restaurant and hot dog stand in Willard. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Willard and a member of the 55 Plus Club at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.
He is survived by two sons, Roland C. Jr. and Sandra Henry of Willard and James L. and Marlene Henry of Willard; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. He is preceded in death by his 1st wife, Frances (Thompson) Henry and second wife, Eleanor (Fink) Henry; his parents, Earnest and Pearl (Reed) Henry; one son, Michael Henry; two brothers, Ted and John Henry and one sister, Pauline McKinley.
Visitation will be Sat. from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard, where the funeral service will be Sat. at 2:00 P.M., with Rev. Ken Gifford officiating. Burial will be at a later date at the Greenwood Cemetery in Willard, OH. Memorials may be made to the Willard First United Methodist Church, Youth Group.
