Susan E. Peacock, 72, of Galion, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Susan was born in Shelby, Ohio on May 24, 1951 and was the daughter of the late William M. and Agnes M. (Karl) Delarber. She married the love of her life, William L. Peacock on December 4, 1971, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2015. Susan was a 1971 graduate of Buckeye Central High School and of Pioneer Joint Vocational School.

Susan loved spending time with her family, especially Friday night races at Attica Raceway Park with her grandson and daughter where he would give her noogies and call her “Old Lady Bones”.  She loved the beauty of nature, was an avid gardener, enjoyed bird watching, and sitting by a campfire.  Susan loved animals…and coffee.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie and Pete Thacker of Bucyrus, Ohio, her grandson and “boyfriend”, Nathan "Nate" Thacker; her siblings, Barbara Wolfe of Arcadia, Ohio; W. John Delarber of New Washington, Ohio; Benedict (Sue) Delarber of Shelby, Ohio; and Constance (Richard) Bores of Rogers, Arkansas; brother-in-law, Michael Stephan (William Anderson) of Hillard, Ohio; sister-in-law, Joyce (John) Bohlander of Columbus, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and other extended family members.

In addition to her parents and husband; she is preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Jeanette and Henry Stephan; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Delarber and Cindy Delarber.

The family asks that you dress casually and to “come as you are” and celebrate Susan’s life with them as she is at peace with her Lord Jesus Christ.

The family will receive friends on Saturday April 20,2024 from 11:00 AM until the time of her Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at Secor Funeral Home in New Washington, Ohio with Fr. Ron Schock officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the H.O.P.E. Clinic in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.  Online condolences may be made to the family by visiting www.secorfuneralhomes.com
