Victor A. Kehres, age 71, resident of Sandusky and former resident of the New Washington area, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2006 in Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio. He was born on May 13, 1935 in Huron County, Ohio to the late Isadore and Eleanor (Smith) Kehres and had been a resident of the New Washington, OH most of his life. He retired from Plum Brook, NASA in Sandusky, Ohio. He was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Eagles Club in Sandusky and the Moose Club in Port Clinton.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea (McCarthy) Kehres; two sons, Mark Kehres of Covington, KY and Steven (Marsha) Kehres of Lake Zurich, IL; one daughter, Sally Wolfe of Akron; four grandchildren, Fredrick Wolfe, Rakia Wolfe, Scott Kehres, and Brian Kehres; four brothers, Charles Kehres of New Washington, Roman Kehres of Troy, Ohio, James Kehres of Bucyrus, and William Kehres of Shelby; five sisters, Ruth Rice, Alice Alt, and Louise Roth all of Willard, Kathleen Leber of Monroeville and Marilyn Kraft of New Washington; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Leonard Kehres; and one sister, Joan Ehresman.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Father Frank Kehres officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Cemetery in New Washington. Memorial expressions may be made to the St. Bernard’s School Endowment Fund.
