Virgie Triplett Hamons was born 9-1-1928 in Knott Co., Kentucky to Adam “Buck” and Ellen Bailey Triplett. She went to be with the Lord and join her late husband Donald, whom she married May 26, 1948. She left this life on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Stein Hospice in Sandusky, Ohio. She and her husband were active members of the Willard Church of God since 1957. She was a homemaker with a servant’s heart. She touched so many lives just by the special person she was. Her family was her life and when someone mentioned one of her “grandbabies”, it would put a smile on her face. No one could make sausage gravy and biscuits like “Grandma”.
Those left to cherish her memory are her 5 children, Donna (Clyde) Miller of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Bobbie (Greg) Hartz of Willard, Ohio, Ken (Peggy) Hamons of Cleveland, Tennessee, Kim (Carl) Craigmyle of North Lawrence, Ohio, Todd (Cathy) Hamons of Willard, Ohio; 9 grandchildren, Brandon Hartz, Mandi Martin, Brian Hamons, Tara Estrada, Kaytie and Nicolas Craigmyle, Cathern, Morgan and Lauren Hamons; 17 great grandchildren, Austin, Zoey Regan and Olivia Hartz, Maddelyn, Emma, Caroline, Elijah, Annesley and Vivian Martin, Abigail, Gavin, Gage and Savannah Hamons, Ashton, Jaden and Kamden Estrada and 2 special young men Steven and Benjamin Osorio. Also surviving is her sister, Anna Hale of Plymouth, Ohio and will also be sadly missed by many family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hamons, her parents Adam “Buck” and Ellen Bailey Triplett; her sister, Mae Branham and an infant brother, Benjamin Triplett.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Willard Church of God, 4551 Willard West Road, in Willard, Ohio where the funeral service will be on Thursday at 2:00 PM with Pastors Steve Burkhalter and Greg Griffith officitating.
