Wayne O. “Spider” Huffman, age 86, resident of Willard, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at his residence. He was born on November 22, 1920 in Attica, Ohio to the late Carl & Mary Marie (Blinn) Huffman. He retired from the CSX Railroad, formerly known as B&O Railroad, in Willard after 38 years of service. He was a life member of the Willard American Legion, a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, the Port Clinton Yatch Club and the Ruskin Yatch Club in Florida. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard. He collected sport cars, liked to ride motorcycles, and enjoyed boating. He was an U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II.
He is survived by his wife, June (Houk) Huffman whom he wed 67 years ago; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce (Larry) Hadamuscin of Willard; 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Larry & Shannon Hadamuscin of Galion and Heather & Rob Green of Attica; 4 great grandchildren, Austin and Alexis Hadamuscin and Sydney and Lauryn Green.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Mary Marie Huffman; aunt & uncle, Ray & Alta Frederick and Dale & Doris Huffman.
Friends may call at the Secor Funeral Home in Willard on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. and on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. Funeral services will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Willard on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Leonard Shatkus officiating. Burial will follow in Attica Venice Cemetery in Attica, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church or the American Heart Assoc..
