William R. Wyandt, age 86, resident of Willard, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Willard Mercy Hospital. He was born on August 1, 1924 in Willard, Ohio to the late Ross William and Hazel F. (Gurney) Wyandt. William was a proud US Army veteran of WW II and member of the Carpenters Union Local # 735 for over 50 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Dean) Strimple of Willard and Dianne (Larry) Hershiser of Craig, CO; one son, Randall Wyandt of Conifer, CO; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Joyce Irene Wyandt of Riverside, CA and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Doris (Sutton) Wyandt; one grandson, Nathan Hershiser; one sister, Cleo Boetcher Jennings and an infant brother and sister.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven, Ohio with Pastor Jim Gaston officiating. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.secorfuneralhomes.com
